ABOUT
MY WORK
I have always found beauty in places that may not be considered “beautiful.”

This has been the driving force behind my artistic pursuits; we all face ups and downs in our lives, and I believe in the power of retaining a positive attitude through the highs and lows.
I create art using an “upbeat palette” with the intention of uplifting the mood of my viewers.
Many of my earlier works were figurative, prominently featuring watercolor landscapes or botanicals. Frank Stella, Jim Dine, Robert Rauschenberg, and Roy Lichtenstein are only some of the many artists I’ve looked to for wisdom and inspiration
In recent years, I have shifted to painting bold, fearless, abstract compositions with modern and contemporary themes.
My work takes on femininity with strength and unyielding optimism, often juxtaposing free-flowing organic forms against vibrant geometric grids. I employ a mixed media approach to these compositions, playing with variations in the shape and depth of my canvas to blur the lines between painting and sculpture.
The richly-textured and dynamic nature of the work entices audiences to take a close look in-person, and to move about the space to view from all angles.

FEATURED COLLECTION:
PAINTINGS
The synthesis of my fascination with light, investigation of color and a craving for simplicity led to the creation of my most recent body of work.
These paintings encompass a contemporary quality displayed through consistencies across many aspects of my artwork, and share an optimistic pallet, including clean colors with metallic and glittery textures. To encourage viewers to look at the art from different angles, I extended paintings off the side using various canvas sizes, shapes, and groups. Dynamic compositions and color relationships with geometric rays of light evoke upbeat emotions throughout the works.
